MEDIA ADVISORY: Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign Celebrates 500 Tree Arboretum at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

Toronto, ON - On Wednesday, September 23, a special event will be held at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre located in Toronto, ON. This event will support the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign and recognize the generous support of funds raised by GrandTrees Climate Solutions in helping to create a 500-tree arboretum.

The afternoon will be hosted by Mark Cullen, Canada’s gardening guru, Campaign Chair and co-founder of the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign. Speeches will also be made by Michael de Pencier, founder of GrandTrees, and Dr. Andy Smith, President & CEO of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Due to COVID restrictions, most of the 500 trees will be planted ahead of time by professionals; however, 13 maples and a Vimy Oak will be held for photo ops with dignitaries on the day of the event.
