MEDIA ADVISORY: Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign Celebrates Growing Into Fourth Year

GRAFTON, ON - On Saturday, November 2, a special ceremony will be held at the Grafton Playground located at the Haldimand Memorial Arena and Park in Grafton. The ceremony will mark the 4-year anniversary of the Highway of Heroes Living Tribute and recognize the generous support of the Frank Cowan Company throughout the years.

The afternoon will be hosted by Mark Cullen, Canada’s gardening guru, Campaign Chair and co-founder of the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign. 30 trees will be planted with volunteers and representatives from the local Veteran community, including members of the local Grafton Legion, days ahead of Remembrance Day. Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign will also be continuing to promote the new Private Landowner Partnership Program, whereby eligible landowners can qualify for generous grants to have trees planted on their property.
